This katana is forged from 1050 carbon steel, a sister to the brown version within the same line, but with a very distinctive finish: the sheath is lacquered in dark green with a mottled or marbled pattern reminiscent of a stone or marble surface, and the handle is wrapped in matching cord, with differential tempering that leaves a discreet suguha (直刃) line along the edge.
