A replica of a French flintlock pistol with Napoleon's coat of arms on the grip. In these weapons, when the hammer was released, a flint struck the frizzen, and the spark ignited the powder in the pan, which in turn ignited the charge in the barrel. They were muzzle-loaded with powder, a bullet, and a paper wad, so in combat they usually fired only once; afterward, the soldier would draw his saber or use the pistol as a mace.

This version has the lock on the left side, like pistols made for left-handed shooters. It has a brass-colored barrel and fittings, a metallic gray lock, and a wooden stock. It measures 39 cm, weighs 632 g, and its mechanism replicates the loading and firing motions, although it does not fire.
