Forged German Combat Dagger with Engraved Leather Sheath
Availability: 6 in stock
SKU: DAG-008In the German territories of the late Middle Ages, cities like Passau and Solingen were major centres of arms manufacturing, and their workshops produced crossguard daggers that accompanied knights and soldiers as secondary weapons. This combat dagger follows that tradition, with a pear-shaped pommel and a crossguard with curved arms, features typical of weapons from the 15th and 16th centuries. The scabbard is engraved with a shield bearing a cross, a motif reminiscent of the heraldry of German military orders of the period, such as the Teutonic Knights.
