Excalibur sword with braided brown scabbard, 111 cm
Availability: 7 in stock
SKU: ESP-053Excalibur is the legendary sword of King Arthur. In Geoffrey of Monmouth's *History of the Kings of Britain* (circa 1136), it is called Caliburnus and is said to have been forged on the Isle of Avalon. The episode of the sword stuck in the stone, which only the true king could pull out, was added later by Robert de Boron (circa 1200), and Thomas Malory established it in *Le Morte d'Arthur* (1485). In other versions, Arthur receives the sword from the Lady of the Lake, to whom he returns it before dying.
This custom-designed reproduction recreates the sword with its name engraved on the pommel, a brass hilt decorated with dragons, and a brown scabbard with cross-braiding. It is a collector's item inspired by the legend, not a replica of a historical weapon.
