Replica of the Army Model 1860 revolver, manufactured by Samuel Colt's company and one of the most iconic weapons of the American Civil War. It was a .44 calibre muzzle-loading revolver with a six-chamber cylinder, in which each shot was loaded from the front with gunpowder and bullet and primed with a percussion cap. Its reliability and power made it the preferred weapon of the Union cavalry, although it was also used by Confederate troops, and later accompanied the westward expansion. Colt muzzle-loading revolvers from this era are a classic in Westerns set during the Civil War and the years that followed.
